Conflicted

My head feels like it weighs a ton

Oh how i long to be the sun

Shining bright

Consumed by nothing but light

When you live in the dark

Your eyes adjust

Better yet

You’re out of touch

With reality

I mean is any of this real

Or is it all a bad dream

Maybe forgotten to be sewn at the seams

Unraveling tends to leave a lot of strings

Now I’m caught up in things never intended

Now my days are blended

When will i see clearly

When will i think clearly

I imagine my breath escaping me

And the peace i could feel then

Even though i would have sinned

My soul will be free

The light is now mine to keep
