Conflicting Contrasts

An explosion of feelings

come gushing out violently

A mixture of murky meanings

that blend into reality

What to feel and

what to think?

It’s hard to understand;

the weight causes the slow sink

The heavy heart hears its thud fall

and increase its torn tempo

The bruised brain beaten within warm walls

by secrets in harsh crescendo

What to feel and

what to think?

Harder to understand;

weight causes a lower sink

The day rises the cold sun -

it chills the warmth inside.

The night invites the hot moon -

it kindles the cold you hide.

What to feel and

what to think?

Never could understand;

weight sped up the deadly sink

Writing poetry and playing music gives my life purpose and an outlet for when times get rough. Someday I hope to reach others through this.
