Confliction

Days age past expiration,

Every day longer than last,

Minutes seem like seconds,

But you make it valuable.

Time is ephemeral,

And days evanescent,

Wonders left uintouched,

And mysteries unsolved.

Concepts such as love

Confuse feeble minds

But I have seen its power

And I have made it mine.

You and I together

Like pieces of a pie

Sweet, and strange metaphors

Plague my mind.

Blinded by love

Is why I ask,

Why do we try

If nothing ever lasts?
