Confrontations

The future confrontation weighs heavy on my mind

Which I worry that when it happens it won’t be so kind

It scares me I’ll eventually have to face what I’ve tried to ignore

The idea doesn’t excite me or give me a thrill that I know for sure

I have to do this; I have to face the facts

Things may get awkward if I don’t act

I can finally relax when this is done

Until then, stress continues to build making life not quite so fun

I can’t decide when to face them, is there even a right time to face a future fear?

I honestly don’t know, especially when everything is so unbelievably unclear

I can’t get this eventual encounter out of my head, it’s driving me crazy

The plan that I’ve come up with is slightly vague and hazy

I shall approach them as soon as I see them next

And attempt to say what I need to say to make everything as normal as they were

If all goes well, hopefully it will be the last uncomfortable stir
