confused?

Sitting here in bed all I can do is wonder why this couldn't have lasted?

What was it? My hair, my body, my intelligence? Because now I'm distracted;

All I can think about is all those late night conversations,

Who would have guessed that sooner or later this would come to an end;

First complete strangers, then best friends without hesitation,

But now, it's hard to even look at you while being reminded how many nights we would spend;

Talking about the stupidest things,

But now we're back to square one; we just know of each other, and this is what confuses me.
