Confused and Afraid

I'm afraid and confused
not sure of what to do to not feel used

We live in a world with so many people with different struggles

The only question is how can we learn to love eachother?

So many of us not sure how to speak because when we do our voices are too weak

too weak to help ourselves and too weak to help others

yet some of us keep fighting to find peace in one another

Confusion comes in when tieing identities

fear comes in when we are silenced

I wish I could sit here and say that my life is balanced

but that would be a lie because I am just challenged

challenged everyday by the words in my head

telling me speak up and just tell a friend

but I can't because the silence becomes stronger than the words I could ever say

I need to find my voice even though it sounds cliche

I feel like i'm losing myself more and more each day.
