Connected By Heart
Once we were together but now we're apart, but still there's something that connects our hearts.
As I "Power Down" my phone and "Look Up" at the moon, I know it's the same one that you will see soon.
Even though the oceans between us are vast, the memories from our summer will always last.
I am asleep and you are awake, I miss you so much that the Earth starts to quake.
But I send up my wishes and I send up my dream, and you'll know it's true when you see the moon's gleam.
So I keep on praying that I will see you soon, and I keep asking "Siri, how do I get to the moon?"
So as the sun fades away and day turns to night, I'll keep on remembering to always "Shine Bright."
When the sun comes back up I see the Earth and the plants, and all I want to do is "Join in the Dance."
When I'm without you the time keeps going by, but I'll never forget the "Contrails in the Sky."
So when you're missing me and I'm missing you, just do me a favor and "Look Up" at the moon, for when it travels to your side of the world, it'll carry our memories from when July Camp unfurled.
So once again, even though we're apart, when we "Look Up," we'll be connected by heart.
