Connecting Hearts

To the creator of the modern cell-phone, thank you.

It has captured moments of happiness

And the times where I felt blue.

I hold no reliance on memory,

I can replay the good times, pause in the moment,  and fast forward them too.

Looking back through it all in a summary,

It’s held the voice of my lover and the secrets we’ve shared.

It's brought the people we love

To moments where they couldn’t be there

It has helped bridge the gaps of distance where the heart never grew apart
