Connection

Connected yet so disconnected
The important things in our lives get neglected
Doing anything just to feel accepted
Sometimes it never goes the way we expected
Doing anything to be popular and popularity
Never is it the best offer
There's rarity  in accepting ourselves
Accepting our nerdy side, weight or other issues
So it's all left to hide on the shelves
We change and rearrange
Our outside and everything within
Just for us to fit in
We are  the kids and teens with low self esteem
Because society isn't too keen
Of different  huh
Most of us  beaten or torn down by a bully
So we hide behind pounds of make up and technology screens
Making this facade our life style
Without it all would this life  be worthwhile.
