they asked me to describe

myself - and then to describe you -

for they knew what you meant

to me

metaphors and analogies

(most of them sickly sweet or cheesy cliches)

swirling around

trying to describe what

is too beautiful to process

no one is the same, that is something sure

but also

at the end of the day

we are only human.

You. & I.

them & us.

in a big big world we

billions or just a handful

can love and live

cry and laugh

fall and rise up again

sometimes we ramble

myself included

yet that's a beautiful thing...

they asked me to describe us

and in some unexpected way

it is these uneven stanzas,

scrambled words,

and raw thoughts

that are the only ways capable

of saying so little

while saying everything.
