Connection to Recollection

When you look back in time,

To see how things a-line,

It’s funny to see it all connect.

From history, with those victories,

To science, with their finds,

With mathematics, solving quadratics.

I see it all the time.

The world is so connected,

Even with the tiniest thing.

The flap of a butterfly’s wings will cause a hurricane,

Or a gunshot will end a reign.

Kings and queens have fallen far

From upon their thrones,

And presidents and dictators,

They have lead us to the stars.

To the smallest action,

With the biggest yell,

We can change the path.

Are you one to keep yourself silent,

Or will you make your words last?
