Connection to Self

They say the human mind is mans main connection to life

not the heart or the soul but the mind

the heart simply leads us to love, but what's love without thought

the soul makes us who we are, but the mind shapes the impressions

the mind connects the body and controls it

the mind thinks and perceives the world

full of emotion both good and bad

mind over matter

but the mind does matter

you can lose your mind yet it's safe in the spot you left it

one cannot function without a mind

even on a desert island, the mind sees it as a getaway of all your desires
