For Conor

Do you even understand?

Do you even care at all?

She’s a sweet girl, a loving girl

Did you have to go and break her?

I told her she deserved better, because she did

And at the time I meant it, I really did

But in the back of my mind I knew, it wasn’t you, it was her

She was the kind of girl that loved everything and everyone with all her heart

It’s a wonderful, terrible thing, for it ensures pain and tears

So I want to blame you, for putting a cloud over my best friend

But I don’t blame you, not at all

Because I know, oh goodness do I know;

That you can’t control how you feel

And you certainly can’t control who you feel for.
