Conquer
The fear of falling is high
as I cling to the great moss covered hill.
My fingers hold tight to a small cleft
as i try to ease my feet higher.
A gust of wind drives the freezing rain under my hood and against my face.
Inch by inch I creep up the hill
untill I stand, the conquer, at its summit.
Against all odds I have accomplished my goal.
I sit on the great moss encrusted rock,
and the rain soaks through my jeans.
I look out at the world below me
and smile into the rain.
