A Conquering Heart

The world has a way of beating you down,

to the point of almost breaking.

Some people are so vicious and cruel.

It seems until your heart is consumed with aching.

With a glance to the mirror and a wipe to the eyes,

I could feel no more defeat.

I know way, deep down inside,

There is a champion in me.
