Consequences
At the gates of hell I stood
Wondering if I’d ever leave or even could
I didn’t mean to do what I did
But I don’t regret it to be candid
She was too beautiful
Most gorgeous woman in the world
Standing line watching the damned souls enter
Only a matter of time until it was my turn
I started to reminisce the moments before hell
I was happy and everything was swell
Things took a sudden wrong turn
And now I’m here waiting to burn
I knew I shouldn’t have done what I did to her
But I couldn’t resist, it is all blur
Someone so beautiful I should’ve avoided
Instead I did wrong and now I’m here to be employed
As a prisoner of hell to suffer
For as long as I live and forever
For every tear she dropped and breath she gasped
Was a burning lash to my back
I knew I shouldn’t have done that to her
Standing in line, looking back I knew what I deserved
An eternity of pain
For all the tears she dropped in the rain
It was almost my turn to enter the gates
But I couldn’t help feeling all this hate
Not to the situation but me
So happy but now in complete misery
Left alone like I should have stayed
But when I crossed her path, my life was slain
Two damned souls left before my turn
I knew I was wrong, time to eat dirt
Guardian at the gates asked “Everyone serves a purpose for being here. What is your reason?”
I smiled and said the worst you can think
Made her suffer and cry
Made her doubt herself and ask why?
I took her world apart
I… I broke her heart.
