Constant

Ecclesiastes 11:8 New English Translation (NET Bible)

8 So, if a man lives many years, let him rejoice in them all,
but let him remember that the days of darkness will be many—all that is about to come is obscure.

Satire

Now it’s here then it’s gone just a change in priorities.

“Life” has one constant as it is always changing.

Directed by circumstance and feeling’s reaction

bouncing in emotion impulsive through its ranges.

Purple hearts for the wounded but who counts the scars?

Self-inflicted pains now take the seats of honor.

Many ugly bruises line up for a designated show

Originated from running into walls when our eyes were closed.

Following our leaders as they scream from up high.

Clawing into their desires and so wasting our lives.

We seem to be sacrificed while they always get by.

Are we‘re destined to miss the boat as they enjoy a free ride?
