The everlasting night

Once called to us deep in our hearts

It was the first time I ever saw your eyes

Sparkling and shining bright

I wondered how could it be

That this beautiful stranger

Had eyes that could set the world alight

Eyes that took me in like the sky

The everlasting night

Called for a stolen moment or two

A kiss in the dark

Something to hold on to

The first time I saw your eyes

I asked who had sent this angel

With eyes that glow like the night

Eyes that shine twice as bright

Nights will come as they go

Her eyes still remain

Eyes that astonished me

Eyes that only I could see

Yes, that everlasting night

When her eyes first sparkled and shined
