The Constitution is Alive!

Location

Though I'm a woman I know that I am free
The constitution is alive,a river flowing from sea to shining sea.
and despite the fact I'm under 18
I know it's not because of my skin that I can't vote,
but because of an established age of immaturity

I believe  we all have a voice.
Though it seems we've relinquished it by choice.
We the peeps, to keep free, I'm poised
with tranquility and good for every voice.

Though inequality in the past has run through America's veins.
unprecedented changes come with trials embrace.
We're given the chance to amend the past's mistakes
with liberty and justice for all. Future generations saved.

The times have changed, we've rearranged
the alphabet that said different colors aren't the same.
And though it seemed but a dream
we all have the right to vote once 18
