Consumed

The slums consume me,

darkness follows me. Tomorrow comes.

I search for the

escape route.

The slums consume me,

darkness follows me.

The sun has risen, my body has fallen.

I am but an ash on burnt ground

ready to dissolve into the backround.

The slums consume me,

darkness follows me.

A hand reaches, a hand cares.

A life changed.

Today has fallen

I have risen.

The slums don't define me,

darkness has left.
