Consumed

My past consumes me.
Holds me like a leash.
Never letting go.
It haunts my dreams.
It haunts my waking nightmares.
You ask why do I act like this, but then laugh at the reason.
I try to explain why I act the way that I do, but you will never accept this.
That I am not like you.
I am far from you.
Your life may have sucked just as bad as mine.
You life may have been worse then mine.
But were you left in a heap of emotions and feelings you cant justify.
So angry.
So sad.
So cold.
I ask you to catch me as I fall.
You just question why should you.
I need your support.
I need your help.
I know its hard to believe that someone could be this broken, but trust me its possible.
I have been broken so bad, so many times that glue will not simply fix the problem anymore.
As you laugh I die inside.
As you tell me to simply forget it, i am remembering every second of the time I spent in that place, with those people, doing those things.
I'm sorry that you can escape your nightmares by merely waking up.
I live with mine branded in my memory, forever.
