Consummation

I hate it more than

anything else in the world,

Giving us advice

As if they know us

Their "help," nothing more

than feel-good fodder

I sprint aimlessly

Screams of frustration are

met by empty air

Even just one day

I will make my dreams real

I will move forward

Without a purpose

I fade into the background

They tell me every day

Where am I going?

The sun rises in the East

My youth propels me

I meet the rising

sun with newfound ambitions

All doubt left behind

DETERMINATION!

I've outgrown that small house

from our memories

Goodbye to the past

I found my chance and took it

Are you happy now?

Have I made you proud?

I made it to a higher

place to prove you wrong

I took my stops and

caught my breath along the way

but I NEVER QUIT

This is hustle life

You don't have to follow me

Just let me go now

I'm no longer your

responsibility, please

Now I know better

I'll never forget

those times we spent laughing and

crying together

But I'm moving up

Just like you wanted me to

Say you're proud of me

I will be gone by

the time the sun sets in the

west, severing ties

This is what I want

I fulfilled all your wishes,

Now I follow mine.
