Contagious Disease

Rumors are like diseases,

They come out of nowhere,

And they can be contagious;

Everyone these days

Seems to enjoy

All the spreading

Of the lies that are told,

And the madness that will unfold

As they spread around like wildfire,

Never seeming to stop;

Rumors are like diseases,

Everyone seems to suddenly stay away,

As if just by looking at you,

They too can become infected;

Rumors,

Rumors,

They need to stop;

Before they have a chance to grow,

And before someone could be hurt.

writers_gonna_write

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
