The Contenders

They tell us

we'll never make it

There's nothing out there for people like us

we're dumb, we're stupid, we're the weak parts

But we

We are the contenders

Trials and tribulations will befall us us

But We will never fall

We will be pushed, scathed, and stepped on

But we

We are the contenders

We are late nights and tired eyes

We are rough skin and greasy hair

We are blood, sweat, and tears

We are hope

We are the contenders
