Contentment

Why is it that I almost resent the idea of being content and what is there to be content with, Am I to be content with these circumstances that fail to enhance my own circumstance and my joy My direction is to move forward so why would I be content being held back, But don't label me as ungrateful becasue I want more than what I currently see, and seek to reach beyond what is in front of me, I do appreciate life and what's been given, But to be content with my current state without reaching for a greater purpose says to me that I am only existing and not truly living. I yearn for more than just the material possessions and a lucrative profession What I seek more than that is a higher level of knowledge of true enlightment, To live and breath with the very same passion that I write with, So why would I be content with my current state, with so much room to elevate, So many new paths to walk, so much more room to grow, Am I grateful for what I have yes, but am I complacent with where I'm at no.
