Continue Being You

I want you to be able to talk to me about anything

About the things that make you laugh,

And the things that make you want to cry.

I want you to be able to talk to other people

Without worrying that I’ll be upset

I want you to spend time with others

So that you can tell me about it when you come home

I don’t want you to feel guilty about

Being around other people

I don’t want you to feel trapped in this relationship

I don’t want you to change for me

I want you to continue being you

because you are the person I love
