Continuous Growth

She came into the world on May 2nd, ‘02

Born a fighter but yet an old soul.

She loved flowers and found nothing dull.

Her voice was constantly  raised in song,

she felt nothing in the world could possibly go wrong.

She grew and she grew

Her parents were her heroes,

and her siblings her best friends.

There was a picture of mountains she saw

that made her stare in awe.

Over the same mountains she flew

as her heroes made their home aknew,

She learned to love her home among the mountains,

especially when the first snow flew.

She made friends and

she grew and she grew

 The dark ages came,

she entered the middle school zoo.

She lost her friends but made some too.

 The problem was

who was she?

She was kind, compassionate, daring, brave, smart.

Yet, vulnerability, anxiety, and insecurity buried all that,

She grew and she grew

The middle school zoo turned into the highschool maze.

She became a leader,

a painter,

a runner.

She was a fighter and had learned how to stand

She knew her mind

She knew her purpose

I grew and I grew

And continue to today

Growth is a stage

that will forever remain
