Contradiction

To say I am one thing is too simply

lying to myself so dubiously:

I am enthralled by world economics

While my wallet is brimming with cobwebs.

I possess a solid tongue for coding

While I’ve never been fluent at typing.

While I amble in my bed constantly

My teachers hail my productivity.

I constantly try out for musicals

While I can’t dance fluidly nor sing well.

I am proud to be an American

While I denounce my Filipino race.

The definition of contradiction-

A red seesaw in equilibrium.

Once I thought I was an exception, but

that was probably a contradiction.
