People are taught how to do things,

How to walk and talk

When to start dating and not to stalk.

In a world like this

It is only fair to create a world with paper and pen

Where a book is more than lined paper

And the lines become a landscape.

The pen becomes a brush,

The ink becomes paint.

With every stroke of a letter

A person paints their own world.

As they develop as a person,

The writing develops with them.

Feelings from the heart transfered

Into words that hold more meaning to them

Than the entire world.

The words they leave behind

Are only tabs on the memories

Of broken hearts, happy days and endless nights.

The passionate feeling of writing

A peaceful release of emotion

Allowing a free-mind and speech

Where no one can tell what to do

Or how to write.
