Controlling Emotion

I feel my palms dripping of sweat As they shake involuntarily I feel my heart playing it's drum set I hear the beat echoing off my chest I strain to take in oxygen Nostrils get wider, lungs become tighter Muscles become stiff and sore My body refuses to calm down Further more, in the middle of everything I pray "Lord please take this suffering" And I who have already used much energy Falls peacefully asleep I write my feelings Before my emotions build up I write to prevent my panic attacks Where I then become uncontrollable It is a way to express myself Without judgment or awkward stares It is my therapy And it is my passion
