The Conversation
It was the worst conversation ever.
It happened one day after school as the clouds began to close in.
Staring into space I began to feel chills run throughout my whole body as the wind blew.
The chills coursed through my veins, leaving me numb and speechless.
My lips began to turn purple and goose bumps started to form on my skin.
My skin felt like scared porcupine waiting to defend itself from its prey.
My friend stared at me and began to wonder what was happening.
We began to talk; everything was going well until we disagreed.
My eyes filled with frustration as I looked down into the track field and gave a big sigh.
Our argument began to get worse and cause a lot of mixed emotions.
Anger looked upon me, and I looked at him, while he looked at the field's goal posts.
His eyes were full of tears and disappointment.
All I could do was sit in silence and fidget with old leaves scattered on the grass.
The wind hit, and the leaves began to rumble away, along with the sand and his sweet cologne.
As I looked at the birds fly by, they reminded me of all our memories.
I could sense agony filling up in his throat, ready to burst in tears.
The discussion left me astonished; a simple talk had turned into a storm.
