Conversation
What is that thing?
That thing that buzzes and hums
Its buzzing again
Ruining our conversation
Are you listening to me?
Put that thing away.
Did you hear what I said?
Your pocket is rocking again.
Do you know what we were talking about?
Is that more important?
It’s humming and buzzing
That seems to be more important
I am done now, trying to speak with words and vocal tone
Text away
Because my real conversation wasn’t important to you anyway
Cellphones are fine
Texts are okay
But not holding human interaction is going astray
Hold up a conversation
With speaking
Not buttons
