Conversation

"The truth" you say

armed with a hard stern look

"The truth and nothing else"

"The truth?" I laugh

and wave your look away

"The truth is not the truth"

"What else?" you say

beffuddled and confused

"The truth is only true"

"You're right" I say

if only it's the truth

"But every truth must end"
