Coraline

You walked away

with my dripping heart.

as you let the rest

of me rip apart

its been so long

yet I still can't breathe

when those button eyes

stare at me

I lived a life

like Coraline

missing pieces

to my puzzle

the temporary pieces

I found in you

until you changed the way

the pieces were shaped

and unlike Coraline

I let you sew those buttons in my eyes.
