Cordless Junky

Sometimes I hate this generation.

Tethered to a wireless bible, we pray we never lose connection.

Our bible is ignorance, the prophet MTV.

"You ain't got Vine, Facebook, IG?"

Blasphemy.

"How about a Twitter, Kik, Snapchat?

None of that? You must be lonely"

Upload, double tap.

Scroll, like that.

Pop, incoming.

400 friends and you still feel lonely.

Abbreviated speech our minds the product of rudimentary activity.

It's mind numbing how monotonous conversation can be.

You can quote Vine stars, music, movies, but never heard of Candide?

You run for the battery, but lack haste for class.

Sometimes I hate this generation.

I used to dream my words would incite a revolution.

Free the people of their chains and delusions

Ellipses

I'm over it.
