To the core

Psalm 139: 23 New English Translation (NET Bible)

23 Examine me, and probe my thoughts!
Test me, and know my concerns!

To the core

One core value is about trusting,

but in what, if I can’t trust self?

To be honest and straight forward

in truth and commitment to excel.

The road I travel,  haven't I been here before?

I just seem to change the scenery in my mind.

Moving people in a chess-game behind closed doors

as on the bottom line, my King is vaguely defined.

I should be filled with patience and concern

serving and truly caring about them all.

With my tongue and mind in bridle at every turn

so my heart could live the purpose in love and call.

So be patient as on life’s pathway with every matter

and try not to run while you stumble and barely walk.

One thing for sure in my desire I long to be better.

although in reminiscing, I need action and not just talk
