The Core of my Machine
Driving
Prying
Flying
More than a tool,
And to be without makes a fool.
Digging through life
And not to dig is to feel strife.
Exploring
Imploring
Deploring
What can I be without a mind?
To have no self, to not possess me?
I would be less than a man blind.
Corpse on the street, ev'rything but free.
There would be love, couldn't be hate.
Even pain, I'd no longer be me.
I could not bear to live that fate.
Life without thought is no way to be.
Giving
Breathing
Grieving
Thorn in my side
Ties me together, opens wide.
Flawed and impure,
My mind is my one, only cure.
Creating
Stating
Fixating
