Corner Babe

She lie in the road of many crossing lanes.

Her heart stuck somewhere between the intersections.

She's run over by so many people on this road.

People in their armor.

People without care for the hurt they cause.

People who inflict pain and struggle on strangers.

She lie in the road,

simply to rest her heavy head.

Heart ache.

Back break.

Resting her gentle neck on the yellow road lines

waiting for the cars to come one more time.

Let her rest

that sweet someone has hurt too long.
