Cornered by my River

The river begins to flow,

A stream forms at the top of my Cheek, soon it will reach the bottom.

People don't see the reason,

It’s easier to hide then I thought.

You Stole something, that I had planned to keep.

I had no choice.

“Don’t Tell”

That is forever on repeat in my head.

I hide in a corner,

This corner seems safe to me.

No people, no light

but with this there is no happiness. You stole that from me too.

There is no

smiles, laughs or reason anymore.

Years pass…

I tell, I get blamed.

Blamed by the person whos supposed to be there.

I Scream,

“I Couldn’t move!”

They don't believe.

My corner is the only thing that stays for me.

I’m by myself finally, is that a good thing?

No one can be there to push me down farther.

You ask

“Are you ok?”

How can I reply when you already know the answer.

Eyes close, I breath.

Without any thought I breath out,

“Im Fine”

They think your getting better.

Now they except what was wrong.

The diagnosis was true.

You didn't believe it at first.

You just blamed me.

The river drys up,

People forget it was there.
A smile could cover it.

A smile could cover anything.

One loss,

Two loss,

Three loss.
My river returns.

This time people see a reason I couldn't hide.

They try to help, but this time I didn't want it.

Where were they before?

Where were they when I Needed them?

The River is never gone.
