Is there a way to perpetuate youth?
Bottle decay and never let it out?
Would anyone dare to betray the truth?
Or would only a grave learn beyond doubt.
Teach me how to put a stopper in death,
Stop vicious winter from arresting life,
Turn shriveled to fresh and give corpses breath,
Save the innocent from wrinkles and strife.
Can we be evergreen, see every dawn?
Is there a substance to petrify time?
So that we can smile forever on,
So limits, worries, won’t vexingly chime.
Earth will age at the end of each sun-dance,
And only dark can bind time in a trance.
