The Corrupted

We fight for what we want,

To stop the yearn that can’t cease to haunt

That is until we start choking

On our own blind hoping

She will be your end,

She will claim to be your friend.

Don’t look here she comes,

Do you feel that ache?

It’s your soul she’s here to take.

Don’t be blind,

The brave thing to do is hide

For if you let her come near,

Your screams will be the only thing we’ll hear.
