Corruption

I watched quietly on a somber night a young boy with golden eyes appear before the moonlight. His lips were pursed to something dreadful; tonight the finest of eyes fell upon the devil. The two of them stood in trance of battle, locked tightly onto the stallion’s saddle. Neither side showed wavering will, though the world about them grew eerily still. Then I saw golden eyes ignite, They cooled to carbon – black as a starless night. Two dark-eyed demons stood in my wake and my very foundations began to shake.
