Cosmic Sea

Oh Great and Cosmic Sea
All I wish, a dance with thee
So I gaze into the sky
And turn to thee a lustful eye
"Oh to be free among the stars,
To bob and weave just as they are.
Never shall I be so free!
Ever will the stars dance with me?"
I turn to the Earth to weep and mourn
And hear a voice from lurid stone
It sighs to me
"Know you not from whence you're borne?
You think they leave you far behind
As such, you turn a blinded eye
To all the forces that push and pull
Do you think the stars immune?
Ha!
You say you wish to dance with them?
Dear child,
They already dance with you.
