Cosmos' Benediction

Of wormholes

And hyperboles,

Of mispronunciation

Of sci-fi,

And of grammar,

And of fun-facts by the dozen

Of kites

And cars,

Kaleidoscopes,

Of one-syllable states

Of Maine,

And of Chicago

(Windy City's good for kites.)

Of Thunderbirds

And Firebird,

and little sprites a-plenty

Of pirate girls,

And magic pearls,

And blackbirds five and twenty

Of battles waged

In yonder age,

Of Troy and Trojan horses

Of many itty-bitty things,

And things of great wide courses

Of fairy dust

And sacred trust,

Of circumnavigation

Of wild lore

And iron ore,

Of water-bird migration

Of everything

Of ground and wing,

Of cloud, of tree, of river

I bless you,

Hope to keep you

safe from sorrowing forever.

The Greenhorn Parnassian

Hi! I'm a random high school student from Example, USA (which means that I'm not supposed to be giving out personal info to other random people on the internet). I like writing, reading, astronomy, biking, Ireland, Canada, the outdoors, and more! I wish I could snowboard, and live in the country, and have an adventure. And I wish I could see real wolves, moose, and other Northern animals. I like to experiment with different poetry types, and I especially like to write poems with unique rhythms and rhyme schemes. One of my favorite poems is "Errantry", by J. R. R. Tolkien. I hope you enjoy my poems, and critique them, please! Thanks!
