The Cosplay Conundrum

Take it off

Put it on

Change the wig

Ugh, now thats too long

Snap clip

That was one to many snips

Now it's too far gone

The convention is in a month

Yet my costume is in a frump

Will college bless me with bliss?

Or will I be amiss

Without my wigs and military things

Maybe I'll have time for flings

Now that my fabrics aren't crying out in despair

But will I care?

Yes, yes of course I will

Even now my heart strings start to tear

At the thought of having free time to chill

It's really a thought that I cannot even bear.

Yes cosplay gives me so much trouble

and yes my wallet screams at spending double

But I'll miss the costuming and the styling

I'll miss all the trying and crying and sighing

That goes into every stitch, hair, and art designing

I'll miss the sleepless nights that I groan over now,

Yet how could I ever really live without

1:00am victories over costumes that once made me bow

I don't know how I did it, but hey they make me shout.

Yes Cosplay sometimes you make me feel so much doubt

But really I don't know what my time will consist of without

So yes Cosplay I vow to you that, no matter what I say now

as I cry over every stitch, hair, and art design

that I will miss you until the end of time.
