The Cost of the Coast
I'm a grey rainy morning,
Beautiful to the right set of eyes,
Not trying to exult sunshine,
Even while feeling dark.
I'm a bitter cold breeze
That painfully stings your cheek,
And gets your blood rushing
Turning your skin to rose.
I'm a piping cup of tea
That singes your tongue,
But soothes your mind
After time let's me cool.
I'm a beach full of sand
That enters unwanted areas,
Annoying but worth it
For it's the cost of the coast.
I'm not simply a friend,
I'm a sister.
I'm not simply a lover,
I'm a fighter.
I was made for adversity
I push those I love higher.
There are no filters in my life,
Only truth and desires.
