COSTLY COOL INDIFFERENCE

The lapse is finally found...

No utterance, no sound.

What “love” there was amongst this feud...

Was sorely mistaken & totally rude.

A whisper, a laugh, a killing joke...

The look meant to kill the one who spoke.

Inside the mesh, the moments froze...

But once outside, it was merely a pose.

Whether ranking high amongst the Who's Who...

Or as seasoned adepts on cue, onstage...

Making others feel as though they have no culture...

The order of the day...

But really, when it comes right down to it...

It's the hubris & acerbic wit I could not acquit.

Oh jungle wasteland of elitist daughters & sons...

Of which I never was truly one.

I was only ever on the outside looking in...

But never the inner circle of origin.

An excuse was needed to be freed...

There is SO MUCH MORE...

Hark! Take heed!
