Cotton Top

When I was little, I was named "Cotton Top,

Because my hair is so white it would often make people stop.

As I went from town to town playing travel baseball,

Some would often wonder who is that pitcher/catcher so handsome with flaw.

It was funny how year to year as I would travel and play,

I would hear "There is Ole Cotton Top",  other team mom's would say.

My grandad is to be given the honor of this name,

For he passed on his white hair to his daughter, which is my mom I love and give all fame.

For I was blessed to be given this special color hair,

Now that I am older I feel extra special to be called "Cotton Top" and beam with a glare.
