Could It Be You?


You look familiar, haven’t I seen you before?

Yeah, now I remember. We were kids then,

I saw you, but I guess you don’t remember me.

That’s ok; it was a long time ago.

I wonder how your summers after that went,

Not that I ever thought of you thereafter.

But now that we’ve meet, again… formally this time,

And maybe more than a fleeting glance…

I’d like to know your name,

(Unaware to you there’s so much more I want to know)

Perhaps your interests or favorite color;

Could it be that we share the same,

or think in ways that I would recognize as my own (You know, like “You Too!!?).

I know this may sound strange but it has been my desire,

to find someone who has similar passions or secrets as I do.

And wouldn’t it be miraculous when you’ve prayed night after night,

To finally met that person face to face, heart to heart…

To know that’s the one,

Could it be you?
