Could've Stopped It All

A crown of thorns struck upon his head. 7-inch nails driven through his hands and feet. A heavy wooden cross with splintering strips of wood on Jesus's back as he hung on the cross at Calvary. Called upon the Father, saying - "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." before taking his final breath. Had a spear struck to his side, coming out with blood and water to really make sure he was dead. He could've stopped it all in the garden. Could've called down every angel in heaven to come down and get rid of everyone who wanted Jesus crucified. Jesus knew he had to do this, to free us from Satan's captivity and bring us into his marvelous light. Had his body put in the tomb with the stone rolled away and two guards keeping watch. Darkness rejoiced as though heaven had lost; then the angel of the Lord came, and the guards trembled and became like dead men. For the Lord arose with our freedom in hand!

Just tryna' write poetry that always glorifies God and who He is, what he has done for me, and what He can and will do for you! If God can transform my life, I know without a doubt he can transform yours too! You are NEVER too far gone, or broken for God! Come to Jesus just as you are and give your life to him and watch the change happen when you turn to Jesus and live for Him!! Being a Christian is never easy, just as life isn't easy, but our only hope is in Jesus Christ the one and only!!
